1. Can I bring my bicycle on the bus?

Yes! Our bike racks hold two bicycles on a first-come, first-serve basis. Passengers are required to load and unload.

2. Do I have to pay extra when I change buses or transfer?

It is always free to transfer from one route to another, or from Lewiston Transit to the PBTA bus system. When you get on the bus and you have to change buses, let the driver know that you will need a transfer slip. You will have to pay for your return trip.

3. Do you offer discounted transit rates for the disabled?

Yes. Riders that qualify can receive a 50% discount via our half-fare pass. More information is available on the website or you can call or stop by the dispatch office.

4. How much does it cost to ride the transit services?

5. What are Transit's hours of operation?

Monday through Friday from 6 am to 7 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm.

6. What type of transit services are available?

Fixed-Route Service 

We are Lewiston’s city bus and our two fixed-routes travel the same route and the same roads each trip. Our East Route and West Routes run hourly figure eights, covering most of the city including Downtown and the Orchards. We also make connections with Appaloosa Express and the PTBA for destinations east and west of Lewiston.

Paratransit Service

For those unable to access our fixed-route bus service due to a disability, we offer Paratransit or curb-to-curb bus service. Individuals must qualify in advance under federal guidelines.

7. What’s the best way to get information about Lewiston Transit’s Bus System?

Visit the Transit Department’s website to see maps and schedule times for Lewiston and the LC Valley. We also offer free travel training if help is needed in learning how to ride the bus.

8. Where are transit services provided?

• Lewiston’s East Route - Covers the east side downtown, East Lewiston, and the east side of the Orchards. It connects with the PTBA (Clarkston and Asotin) and The Appaloosa Express Transit Systems at the Lewiston Community Center.
• Lewiston’s West Route - Covers the west side of downtown and up into the west side of the Orchards including the airport. It connects with the East Route at Winco every 30 minutes.
• To Clarkston and Asotin, WA - We connect hourly with Asotin County PTBA bus system (Blue Line) at the Lewiston Community Center to take riders to Clarkston and Asotin.
• To Orofino, ID and beyond - We connect with Appaloosa Express Transit at stops in North Lewiston and the Lewiston Community Center daily to take people to:

10. Will the bus pick me up if I am not at a bus stop?

Yes, it will, if you are on the correct side of the street - just wave both arms so the driver knows you want the bus to stop for you. This is called a "flag" stop. Note that the bus will stop at the first safe location.
