HOW YOUR FEEDBACK TRULY MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Picture of Demolay Park Trail Before Reconstruction

A popular dirt pathway that leads from Demolay Park, located along Prospect Avenue in the Normal Hill neighborhood, down to Snake River Avenue is getting a facelift!

This is a manmade trail that was formed by heavy foot traffic over many years. In order to keep this popular access point safe for all, it will be widened and paved, and a pedestrian-activated signal will be installed. Previous community feedback helped make this trail a priority within the Lewiston Transportation Plan (PDF-This is a large document and may take a few minutes to load.). This is just one example of how your feedback truly makes a difference!

Both Prospect Avenue and Snake River Avenue will remain open throughout construction and the project is expected to be complete in November. Due to signal equipment procurement and delivery lead time, the pedestrian-activated signal may not be installed until a later date.
