Small business owners and nonprofits in Lewiston that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic were awarded grants by the City of Lewiston to help provide some relief.
These grants were awarded at the end of 2020, bringing hope to the lifeblood of our economy as we all welcomed in a new year.
“When we received these funds, we acted fast and the response was overwhelming,” City Grant Writer Jacqui Gilbert said.
This grant opportunity was available through the CARES Act on a first-come, first-served basis, and it was made possible by Governor Little’s Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee.
Many organizations in Lewiston are still struggling with the financial impacts of COVID-19. The City of Lewiston is working with the State of Idaho in the hopes to continue bringing relief to the community.
