Recollections of a Vietnam War Nurse

Join us at the Lewiston City Library for a moderated discussion to learn from the experiences of Connie Evans, a former US Army Captain, who honorably served as a combat nurse with the 12th Evacuation Hospital in Vietnam. She will share some of her experiences that led to her becoming a nurse and volunteering for assignment in Vietnam. She will also talk about her Nez Perce background and the importance of preserving and teaching Nez Perce language, culture and history. A short video will also be shown of Connie speaking at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Veterans Day in 2022.
