Public Works Expo

The City of Lewiston partners with other public agencies in the region in cooperation with the American Public Works Association to celebrate Public Works Day every year with an Expo at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds. The Expo is intended to increase awareness of Public Works' responsibilities and provide an opportunity for everyone to experience a variety of fun activities related to what Public Works is all about.

Public Works Day focuses on acquainting the LC Valley to professional opportunities in a growing field, help citizens learn how daily activities affect the environment, and offer information on the many services provided by the region's Public Works departments. This Expo is part of a nationwide observance honoring leaders in Public Works and is held annually in the Spring. While the event's activities are geared toward kindergarten through third grade students, all are welcome!

Please join us for this the 2023 Public Works Expo on Thursday, May 25 from 9am to 2pm at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds!

The City of Lewiston Public Works Department typically provides tours of our Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant during the annual Expo but, as the new plants are both in active construction, tours were not included in this year's activities.
